IT was another successful weekend for WaldenTri as two of the club’s leading ladies ran to victory.

In the challenging Wandlebury five mile race Nicki Davis put in an outstanding performance to come 13th overall and take the prize for first lady home in a brilliant time of 33mins 19secs. Jack Peasgood also ran strongly to take an excellent fifth place overall in a time of 30mins 59secs.

WaldenTri also had a strong team competing in the fifth round of the Eastern Region Mountain Biking Series at Codham Park, near Braintree. Once again Donna Dale was in outstanding form and took first place in the ladies one-hour race. Sue McIntrye just missed out on top-spot, coming second in the ladies two-hour event.

For the men, Paul Wiffen came fourth and Andrew Riley 11th in the veterans one-hour event.

Young Callum Riley was once again in outstanding form coming four overall in the men’s senior race, despite competing against riders much older and more experienced than himself.
