FOUR goals in a devastating first half display made sure Dynamos triumphed over a team positioned higher in the Cambridgeshire County League Division 5A.

Starting off the New Year in superb fashion the home side destroyed fourth placed Glemsford & Cavendish in a devastating first 45 minutes to join them on the same points.

Dynamos first game since losing unluckily 1-0 to the leaders Dalehead three weeks ago saw them make one change with Andy Sell returning to the side.

The game started with the home side taking the game to the visitors with some great football, and it was no surprise when Dynamos took the lead on 22 minutes.

An excellent corner delivered by Harry Bond was superbly back-headed in at the back post by Matthew Rowlandson.

After this, Dynamos really took over the game with some lovely pass and move football that ended with another goal being smashed in from just outside the box by Matthew Comstive on the half hour mark.

The visitors could do nothing to stop the home side and hard working Comstive deservedly grabbed his brace on 35 minutes with a superb strike from 35 yards that flew in to the top of the net.

They completed a brilliant first half performance with another move that saw a great ball played through to Paul Fothergill who coolly slotted home to make it four.

In the second half the visitors put Dynamos under pressure and mid half they got a conciliation goal with a debatable penalty after a hand ball decision.

Despite further chances the hosts could not quite finish off some great approach work, with leading marksman Milton Mendes going close, with one free kick hitting the cross bar. Overall it was a good performance as they continue to improve.
