Great Chesterford Bowls Club’s Flack progresses in Cambs & District Over 60’s competition

Great Chesterford Bowls Club suffered a 7-0 home defeat to Melbourn in the Cambs & District League.

The Meldreth & District team lost 6-1 on a difficult green at Little Shelford.

The mixed pairs lost 4-2 at home to Girton B.

In competitions, Mike Flack is through to the next round of the Cambs & District Over 60’s with a win over Chesterton but Brian Butler and Kay Flack lost to Abington in the Secretary & Treasurers Cup.

Sunday saw the club’s first competition of the season.

After a closely-fought contest between 20 players, the round-robin pairs were won by Tony Marks and Graham Ferguson, with Beryl Kellam and Paul Ellis runners-up.
