TWO goals each for Niamh Davies, Gaia Clark-Ward and Madeline Piggott gave PSG a confidence boosting 6-0 away win in opening match of their league campaign.

They travelled to Sutton Rangers, near Ely, and it was a very competitive first half. While PSG had the better chances they were only 1-0 up at half time.

But the girls started the second half well and took control of the game with two early goals. The team grew in confidence as the half went on and pushed forward to score three more before the final whistle.

Coach Tim Piggott said: “It took a little while for the team to get into their stride, but overall it was a great performance from all the girls and will give them confidence for the games ahead.”
