Archant

Just days after making his Saracens first-team debut, ex-Saffron Walden RFC member Max Malins has signed an extension to his deal with the Aviva Premiership side.

Malins kicked a conversion and a penalty during Sarries’ 32-17 Anglo Welsh Cup win at Scarlets on Friday.

His new deal will see him remain with the club’s senior academy with more opportunities to feature in the first team in the future.

Malins has worked his way up through Saracens’ youth system and is one of four players to sign an extension.

In a whirlwind week, he is also expected to be included in England’s U20 side, who start their Six Nations campaign against France at Exeter’s Sandy Park on Saturday.
