Saffron Walden Rugby Club have announced the addition of Solo Baleisolomone to the senior coaching team for the 2016-17 season.

Baleisolomone will add his expertise and experience to the successful team of head coach Danny Hunter and forwards coach Nigel Howe.

He has a wealth of experience having played rugby for a number clubs in Fiji and then with various units in the British Army over the last 15 years. He also played for a number of local clubs when time permitted.

Baleisolomone started coaching in 2013 as assistant coach to Redwings RFC, based at Carver Barracks, the following year he stood in as head coach at the Barracks.

Last season he was head coach at Essex One League side Bancroft.

This coming season Baleisolomone will work with the Saxons (2nds) and will be helped by Steve McCabe who will be transferring his coaching and organising skills across from last year’s U17/colts team.

This will help across the senior squad giving much needed focus on making the Saxons stronger with a dedicated coach and manager on match days as they prepare for life in Eastern Counties League 2NW.

Solo will take full part in the pre season training which is starting at the club this week.

If you would like to join the club email or ring 07941 362038 for more details.
