THE opening three weeks of the Saffron Walden Summer Dart League have already seen eleven maximum 180s chalked up by players from both divisions.
In division one Ryan Searle hit two maximums this week along with one from team mate Wayne Bloomfield to help Saffron Walden FC win 5-4 away to the Rose & Crown Ashdon. Alan Smith replied with a maximum 180 for the home side.
In another close match the White Horse Newport were 5-4 winners away to the Crocus Tavern.
In division two there was joy for Vikki Mandy who scored her first ever maximum 180 playing for the Fighting Cocks Wendens Ambo. However it was Newport Club who took the match with a 6-3 home win. The Fleur de Lys Widdington playing at home produced a 9-0 whitewash over the Queens Head B, Littlebury. In a local derby match it was the Axe B who were 7-2 winners over the Axe A in Saffron Walden.
