CASTLE Hill Tennis Club in Saffron Walden has acquired a Poweroll 5 mechanised roller for its two grass courts thanks to two grants.

The club was awarded money from Viridor Credits and Uttlesford District Council to help paf for the roller.

Club chairman Pete Smith said: “We are proud of our grass courts but until now it has been difficult to keep them rolled to a high standard. Now, thanks to our new roller, we are able to welcome visiting clubs for home matches as part of the Essex Small Clubs League.”
