ONE junior game managed to survive the wintery conditions at the weekend as the youngsters made use of the all-weather Astro Turf at Linton Village College.

Playing in freezing conditions Aztecs got off to a flying start with Jack Logan turning in a low drive.

The lead lasted but a few minutes as Barr Hill stormed right back. From this point on Aztecs were on the back foot as the defence soaked up the pressure, the odd breakaway was all that could be mustered.

Two more Barr Hill goals followed. At half time injuries to keeper Sam Scott and central defender Shane Leader forced the home manager to change the team around and a goal by Matt Organ latching onto a Zak Thurgood through ball was the high point of the half for Aztecs as Barr Hill pressed home their advantage and goals.
