Bloods set up winner takes all clash with Yarmouth

Saffron Walden Town set up a final day, winner takes all clash with Great Yarmouth Town after beating Woodbridge Town 3-1 on Saturday.

Craig Calver cancelled out Aaron Greenwood’s opener before Greg Strong fired Walden into a 2-1 half-time lead. Joe Murphy wrapped up the points with a header in the second half.

The Bloods’ win and Yarmouth’s loss means Stuart Wardley’s side has a three-point cushion on their promotion rivals, although that could be erased if Yarmouth win their game in hand on Tuesday night.

It means that whoever comes out on top of their meeting at Catons Lane on Saturday will be promoted to Thurlow Nunn Premier Division.
