THE BLOODS have made a very welcome return to winning ways after trouncing a talented Ipswich side on Saturday.

After five games without a win, and only a point to show after last week’s three-all draw against Downham Town, 2011 had been a bit of a struggle so far for the Catons Lane club.

However they bounced back in fine style with a two goal blitz just before half time, Brad Green with the first and Jamie Solkhon with the second.

Graeme Turner then popped up in the 89th minute to seal a clinical victory and bring Walden within striking distance of a top six finish.

Next: This Saturday Walden face a crunch home tie against bottom three outfit Team Bury. Kick off 3pm. They will be hoping for a bumper crowd as the club continues to lead the way in attendances this season. So far 1177 supporters have come through the gates.
