A newly formed youth football club in Saffron Walden will be hosting open player trials this weekend for their teams next season.

Saffron Walden Community FC (SWCFC), which was formed after a merger between Spartak Youth and Saffron Walden Town Youth, are holding trials for their under 13 and under 15 teams, which will play in the Eastern Junior Alliance (EJA) next season.

Club co-chairmen Martin Johnson and Matt Clare say they are delighted to be offering this level of football to grassroots footballers living in and around Saffron Walden and are encouraging committed players to take part in the trials.

Two trial sessions will take place at Herbert’s Farm Playing Fields in Saffron Walden on Sunday, May 14:

Session One: U13s from 10am-12pm – with registration 9:30am.

Session Two: U15s from 1pm-3pm – with registration 12:30pm.
