Rangers ease past rivals Duxford

The first game of the season saw Saffron Rangers comfortably beat rivals Duxford United in the NMC 1a league.

From the kick-off, Rangers pressed high up the field and created a number of half-chances but nothing to worry Duxford.

Twenty minutes into the game, Rangers started to settle and, from an accurate free-kick, found themselves 1-0 up after a powerfully headed goal.

In the second-half Ranges shrugged off their rustiness and started to find their rhythm with another three goals. The pick of the goals came from a great solo effort from Ash King, which saw him beat the last man and calmly slot home for the win.
