CROCUS went in to Saturday’s fixture with a weakened team because of availability and injuries but held firm until mid-way through the first half when the visitors took the lead.

Stand in keeper Daniel Lynch did well to keep the score down as the visitors produced a number of chances but failed to add to the tally before the break.

Crocus improved in the second half and equalised when veteran midfielder Tony Bunting rolled back the years with a delightful strike from range that Cristiano Ronaldo would be proud of.

However the visitors struck back immediately and scored twice to take all three points, leaving Crocus languishing in ninth place in the Cambridgeshire BIS Division 5A.

Next: Crocus Are away to Dullingham on Saturday and will be looking for all three points.
