The Blues lost to the hosts, but worked hard in their next two matches which ended in draws.

Uma scored twice in a convincing win over Bedwell Rangers, but Blues just missed out on a semi-final spot by a single point.

The White team won their first game, then suffered a narrow defeat after missing numerous chances.

They fell behind against Bedwell Lions in their final group match, but netted a last-gasp equaliser to set up a semi-final meeting with Royston.

A tense tie went to a penalty shoot-out, with Amelie producing two outstanding saves and Jess and Mae netting from the spot.

That meant a rematch in the final, with Bedwell going 2-0 up before a late PSG reply and a club spokesman said: “All the girls can be very proud of how they performed on Saturday and thorough the whole season.”
