Saffron Seals’ club championships yielded plenty of personal bests and awards.
More than 120 swimmers took part in three successful and competitive nights of racing. In each event, medals were presented to the first three boys and girls in each age group, with trophies for the overall winners.
In the U8, Freddie Wardle and Millie Denyer waked away with the special individual medley (IM) and combined points awards.
Connall McErlain scooped the boys’ combined points accolade in the U9 group, while the special IM went to Dominic Rogers and Zoe Dale Webb, who also won the girls’ combined points.
Freya Sterling won the U10 girls’ IM and combined points. George Wheeler took home the boys’ IM and William Saward the combined points.
Ollie Rogers and Rose Wilkinson took both the IM and combined points titles in the U11 age group.
Aaron MacDermott and Emma Sarginson were the U12 winners, while, in the U13 group, Nathan Wright and Isla Yarrow took top honours. George Rogers and Grace Wilkinson topped the U14 class and Willem Brooker and Alice Rogers won the 15+ prizes.
In the open age races, Alice Rogers won the 200m freestyle and IM races. Nathan Wright took the men’s freestyle and George Rogers the IM.
The coaches award was presented to Ollie Rogers and Isla Hindle.
