After a successful weekend at the Moscow Raceway just a fortnight ago, Tom Blomqvist returns to DTM action this weekend as he looks to follow up his podium finish in Russia with further success at the historic Nürburgring circuit.

The Saffron Walden racer’s recent impressive form has seen him climb up to sixth in the drivers’ championship and a positive result in Germany this weekend could see him move even closer to the leading pack.

Blomqvist has fond memories of the circuit recording a fourth-placed finish last year during his debut season in the DTM.

Despite a quick turnaround from Moscow, he feels that the team are well prepared for the weekend ahead and is looking to carry forward the momentum he gained from his last performance.

Blomqvist said: “I think we are well set for our trip to the Nürburgring.

“Last year I managed to get to fourth place in the second race and now I know the circuit a bit better. I do pretty well there. Of course it is a very different circuit to the one in Moscow. But I really like this variety.”
