U12

Milton Colts 2 Saffron Hawks 6

FOUR goals from James Cullen was enough to see Saffron past Milton.

Hawks conceded an early goal but Cullen scored twice in quick succession. Saffron added a third when Cameron Phillips scored his first goal for the club.

As half time approached, Cullen completed his hat trick when he latched on to Paulo Antonio’s delivery.

In the second half Milton grabbed another goal but Cullen grabbed his fourth goal, and Phillips his second to secure the victory.

U10

Plantation Blue 3 Histon Hornets Blue 5

A SLOW start doomed Plantation against Histon.

Histon took a two goal lead as the Plantation defence struggled to deal with their opponents. Plantation pulled a goal back through Harris Bremner Lambourn.

Histon got the crucial next goal before a fantastic finish from Luc Roux made it 2-3 at half-time.

Roux added his second to level the game but two more goal from Histon handed Plantation the loss.

U11

Spartak 78 4 Saffron Walden Town 3

SPARTAK 78 snatched a win from their local rivals in the Knockout Cup after taking the game into extra time.

Walden took the lead with a fine goal just before half-time and they added to it after the break from the penalty spot.

Spartak responded when Lukas Sturgeon scored with a low shot only to see Walden restore a two goal cushion. With 10 minutes to go, Kaine Johnson and Travis Fleetwood scored to take the game beyond normal time.

With penalties on the cards, Sturgeon linked up with Ethan Morley for a last gasp goal and a dramatic victory.

Plantation Youth 4 Bassingbourn Youth 2

PLANTATION fall behind after just four minutes but Kristian Rogers replied to level the game.

The game remained one-all until three minutes into the second half when Josh Boyd latched on a Jeremy Fletcher cross to give Plantation the lead. Tanzim Khan and Alex Hall added a third and fourth before Bassingbourn pulled one back.

U14

Ramsey Colts 4 Saffron Walden 9

WALDEN took a four goal lead through Onur Arslan, Joe Cooper, Henry Goddard and Dylan Reams before Ramsey pulled one back.

Reams added a second to restore the four goal advantage and give Walden a 5-1 lead at the break.

Walden added a sixth when Jack Young headed in from a corner.

The game ebbed and flowed for the rest of the match with Jack Wheatley-Sweet grabbing a brace and Cooper scoring from the spot.

U15

Saffron Walden Town 0 Milton Colts 1

WALDEN courageously repelled attack after attack but after 15 minutes Milton took a deserved lead.

Both teams put on a great performance in the second half with goal attempts from both teams.

With 10 minutes remaining Luke Cooper’s shot proved to be Walden’s best chance in the match but was parried away by the keeper and the game ended 1-0.

U15

Walden Wanderers 3 Sawston United Youth 3

A HARD-fought and highly entertaining game saw Wanderers take a three-goal lead in 21 minutes through Franco Almeida, Mike Hawkins and Andrew Draper before being pegged-back by three goals in 19 minutes from the visitors.

U16

West Wratting 4 Godmanchester 2

DAN Espin grabbed a hat trick to see Wratting past Godmanchester.

Godmanchester took the lead from a free kick before Espin leveled with a strike from 25 yards. Wratting’s second was a well worked team goal as Jack Whiting chipped the ball Espin who doubled his tally.

Early in the second half man of the match Dan Espin scores to complete his hat-trick from a corner and Josh Free adds a fourth. Godmanchester scored a late goal to make the final score 4-2.
