WALDEN lost out in a hard fought cup game on Saturday despite taking an early lead. Claire Wyatt scored in the second minute – she rounded her marker and slotted past the keeper.

The away side continued their attacking play having being awarded a short corner and Georgianna Coote blasted in a second.

The hosts replied with a well taken short corner routine in the 14th minute and the game then entered a phase where both sides created chances but were unable to score.

Kings Lynn re-shaped at the start of the second half and played their England international at the back to counter the threat of the Walden forward line.

They equalised shortly after with a good attacking move down the right. With Walden unable to convert a glut of chances the home side who converted another short corner to take the lead with 10 minutes to go.
