WALDEN Tri Club had a busy weekend even by their standards with members taking part in several different events.
At Winsor, six athletes took on a 3.8k river swim and four recording personal bests.
Cathy Gunn (1hr 40mins) put in one of the swims of her life to come first in the ladies over 50 category. First home for the club and third in the Over 40 category was Louise Denning in a fantastic time of 1hr 6mins.
In the Braintree triathlon, the ever-improving Jayne Nunn put in a fine performance to complete the course in 1hr, 32mins. In the Blenhiem triathlon, husband and wife team Matt and Shani Hinton both completed, with Matt coming in the top 20 per cent out of 4,000 competitors. Bev Doel also came 22nd in her age group in 1hr 41mins.
Running-wise, Fiona Halls took second in the Tilty Hilly tough five mile race in a time of 33mins 6secs.
