MEMBERS of WaldenTri’s cross country team had their second race of the five-race winter league last Sunday.

A 5.2-mile course in the rolling hills of Rowney Woods at Chicksands provided the venue for the men’s and women’s teams and both achieved success.

Another fine performance from the ladies saw them rise into second place overall.

They were lead home by the outstanding Louise Rolfe who came third in 38m 15s. Fine runs also came from Sarah Brown (42m 20s), Teresa Peasgood (44m 9s), and Donna Dale (45m 26s).

The men maintained third place overall and were lead home by Sam Pedersen who, on his club debut, came fourth in 33m 23s.

Next was Pete Thompson, fifth overall and first in the 50+ age group in 33m 42s.

Third home was Craig Dyce (35m 31s). Craig finished third in the 40-45 age group, another superb debut run.

The team now look forward to the next fixture in this exciting league to be held at Digswell on December 12.
