Walden Tri’s Michael Buchallet won bronze for Great Britain at the World Duathlon Championships in Canada.
Racing in the 45-49 age group in Penticton, British Columbia, Buchallet was fifth after the first 5k run, before a solid 20k bike leg saw him move up to second.
And after a battle with several other athletes on the final 2.5k run, he came home in third in one hour, four minutes and 11 seconds, just 20 seconds behind the silver medalist from the USA.
Clubmate Matt Bainbridge was eighth out of 42 after the first run in the 35-39 group and fifth after the bike leg, before finishing sixth.
And Georgina Dunlop was 15th after the first run in her 40-44 age group, before working with other British competitors on the bike to edge up to 14th.
Supported by her husband and two daughters, Dunlop held on to that position on the final run to finish 14th in her category and fifth among the Brits.
