Michael Buchallet claims third place at the Anglian Water Duathlon

WaldenTRI’s Michael Buchallet got his season off to a great start with a third-place podium finish at the Anglian Water Duathlon at Grafham Water on Saturday.

The sprint event consisted of two five kilometres runs, split by a cycle of 20 kilometres.

After a reasonable first run, Buchallet entered the initial transition in sixth place. However, clocking the best cycle time in windy conditions and a battling second run saw him finish in one hour 15 minutes eight seconds.

The athlete now heads to April’s European Duathlon Championships in Germany hoping to build on this excellent showing.
