Elliot Porter, singer, pianist and guitarist, will play to raise money for Uttlesford Food Bank at the King’s Arms in Saffron Walden on Thursday, April 18.

This is a free concert with donations requested on the door. It is in support of the Fresh Idea for Food initiative where greengrocers and a butcher in the town have agreed to a voucher scheme so that people who use the foodbank can exchange them for meat and fresh fruit and vegetables. The scheme has been set up by market trader Jacqui Portway.

Elliot, who played at both of the town’s free music festivals, the Fetes de la Musique in 2015 and 2018, will be playing numbers from his latest album, Lanes.

Elliot rearranges popular and more obscure songs in his own imitable style on piano and guitar. No backing tracks, just his own passionate and powerful delivery.

7.30pm. 10 Market Hill, Saffron Walden CB10 1HQ.
