Mr and Mrs Ravilious main show at the Fry Art Gallery, Saffron Walden

An exhibition, Mr and Mrs Ravilious, the work of artist Eric Ravilious and his wife Tirzah, is the main show for the Fry Art Gallery's 2019 season.
An exhibition, Mr and Mrs Ravilious, the work of artist Eric Ravilious and his wife Tirzah, will be the main show for the Fry Art Gallery’s 2019 season.
They both died young, Eric in 1942, aged 39, while serving as a war artist, Tirzah (nee Garwood) in 1951, aged 42.
This will be the first time their careers will have been seen from an intertwined personal perspective. Some of the artworks on display have rarely, if ever, been on public display before. From April 7 to October 27.
To complement the exhibition there will six guided tours from Saffron Walden which will include Great Bardfield, Wethersfield, Castle Hedingham and Copford. The visits will take place from 10am to 4.30pm on both the Saturday and Sunday June 15/16, July 13/14 and September 7/8th. Book on www.fryartgallery.org.
