A TOP sculptor is showcasing her art in her latest exhibition - Marks in Time.

One of Carol Sinclair's pieces

Carol Sinclair’s work focuses on the way the natural forces such as wind, water and fire erode and breakdown industrial and found materials leaving traces and tracks indicative of passing time.

This cycle of reclamation is deftly described in Sinclair’s exquisitely simple sculptures.

“There is often great beauty in naturally eroded materials – they encapsulate the elusive concept of time and infinity,” said Carol.

Her exhibition runs until November 13 at the i2 Art gallery and feature pieces of work that use mixed media, frequently wood, reeds and other natural material.
