TOM JONES and Katherine Jenkins brought this year’s Picnic Concerts to a spectacular conclusion at the weekend, as thousands flocked to the grounds of Audley End House.
Tribute acts Bjorn Again and the Bootleg Beatles opened the season in early July and throughout the month music acts such as Scouting For Girls, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and The Saturdays have also performed.
On Saturday the venue hosted the legendary Tom Jones, who drew a huge crowd complete with knickers ready to throw on to stage. And, on Sunday, the music came to an end with an exceptional performance from singer Katherine Jenkins.
The annual concerts at Audley End are popular ever year with music fans who appreciate the picnic tradition and the breathtaking historical grounds.
Concert organiser Joel Smith praised the level of talent at this year’s event, and how well the performances were received by audiences. “We are thrilled to have enjoyed another tremendously successful Audley End Picnic Concerts series this year.
“Thousands visited the breath-taking stately home over the four weeks to see brilliant performances by a diverse host of artists.”
