BRITISH bluegrass band Monroe’s Revenge will be performing at the next Music at the Crossroads event at St Mary’s Church Radwinter, on Saturday September 25.

The band has made regular appearances at festivals around the country for over two decades, playing traditional and contemporary songs and fast-paced, virtuoso instrumentals with an edgy energy.

The band were the cover stars of the Summer issue of British Bluegrass News, which also featured a full-length article about their origins as a band, written by former band-member John Baldry.

The Radwinter concert is billed as a Barn Dance. Doors will be open at 6.30pm and the music starts at 7.30pm.

There will be a licensed bar and the £10 ticket will include a ploughman’s supper. This is the fifth event in the Music at the Crossroads series, and the first to include dancing.

Music at the Crossroads is a community venture providing concerts in the beautiful surroundings of St Mary’s in Radwinter.
