Blues Brothers, for one night only!

PUBLISHED: 17:11 28 April 2011

IT WAS 21 years ago that a group of local musicians formed for the Carnival to create Saffron Walden’s very own “Blues Brothers” Band.

This year that band will move from their normal Thursday night slot to headline the opening Saturday (July 1) in what is sure to be a sell out carnival gig.

Jake and Elwood Blues will return to play hits such as “Everybody needs somebody to love”, “Sweet Home Chicago” and “Minnie the Moocher” as well as adding both new material and some amazing new twists on the classics.

Support will be provided by The Rollin Clones who return after a hugely successful debut at the 2008 Carnival.

The Clones visual likeness to the Rolling Stones is as impressive as their musical talents and they make a great addition to this event. Families are welcome and tickets are on sale at
