ORGANISERS of the Organ Recitals at Saffron Walden St Mary’s Church are welcoming back a familiar face to finish the series.

The last recital of the summer sees Oliver Waterer perform at the church on Saturday August 7, at 7.30pm.

Oliver went to school in the town and was taught the organ by Andrew Malcolm. After graduating from the Birmingham Conservatoire, he has held posts at several cathedrals and at the Chapels Royal. He is currently the assistant director of music at Chelmsford Cathedral.

Oliver will be playing a varied programme to include works by William Walton, JS Bach and Simon Preston. The big screen will be in operation so the audience can see as well as hear the performance.
