Final act of Saffron Walden Carnival confirmed

The Saffron Walden Carnival events team has this week confirmed they had completed a 16-month mission and booked the final act for the ‘8 day weekend’.
So Blondie, who formed in 1999 and have a reputation as one of the country’s finest tribute bands, will be supporting the Magic – A Kind of Queen, on Sunday, July 6.
There are just 15 days left until the carnival kicks off. All in all 23 different acts will take to the main marquee stage during the mammoth event, and this year will see an even more diverse range of entertainment.
Also, with the last few days left, it’s the last call out for entries for the competitions and procession – the deadline for Carnival queen, dodgeball, soap box derby and the ‘Carnival of Nations’ procession is 5pm on Friday, June 27.
Carnival chairman Jason Thomson said: “It’s getting close now and things are really taking final shape so for everything you need to join in what will be ‘the best thing you will do this year’ visit 8dayweekend.co.uk.”
