The sound of the sixties will rock Wethersfield Village Hall on Saturday, March 16.

Retrovox, the Essex based four piece, will present a sixties revival evening at the venue, covering artists from Britain and the United States, including the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Hollies, The Swinging Blue Jeans, Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, Buddy Holly and The Kinks.

All those bands started out in modest venues, such as public houses playing to teenagers in town halls.

In their early days, The Beatles played in the Cavern Club in Liverpool, which became iconic simply because they began their careers there, playing to a small crowd.

The Retrovox event is a fundraiser for Wethersfield village hall, raising funds to help with general upkeep and maintenance.

There will be a licensed bar on the night. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are £12 including a ploughman’s supper from 01371 850620 or 07710 358 065.
