HOT debate has been flying around social circles within a town in the build up to its eagerly anticipated eight-day summer carnival.

All the talk has been ‘who will play’ at the Saffron Walden Round Table Carnival 2011 and the organising team has now rereleased its secret.

Electro stars Go West will be making their carnival debut on Saturday July 9, and the public will be able to see Peter Cox and Richard Drummie in an amazing finale at the final event – an 80s Party Night.

To find out more information on the Saffron Walden tri-annual Carnival the acts and events being showcased, the brand new website (8dayweekend.co.uk) will be live early in the New Year.

Carnival chairman Jason Thomson said: “This is excellent news that we have been able to secure Go West.

“The events team have pulled out all the stops to get the best line up for carnival 2011 revellers to enjoy. People have already started to book their holidays around the Carnival dates so they can enjoy the whole experience.

“Saffron Walden Carnival is known as the ‘8-day Weekend’ it is eight days of fun and entertainment put on by Saffron Walden Round Table for the community to enjoy and to do some fundraising along the way.”
