BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winners Ross Ainslie and Ali Hutton will be at Stapleford Granary on Friday, March 8.

The duo will play music from their latest album Symbiosis II, released to huge critical acclaim last year, plus tunes from their debut album Symbiosis.

They will be joined by Jenn Butterworth on guitar (Kinnaris Quintet) and Paul Jennings on drums/electronics (Croft No 5).

Symbiosis II was released last spring with an array of outstanding reviews.

Ross and Ali met aged 12 at the Vale of Atholl pipe band in Perthshire. They went on to play in many celebrated Scottish bands including Treacherous Orchestra, Old Blind Dogs, Salsa Celtica, Dougie Maclean, Shooglenifty and Capercaillie. After all the years playing in different bands and line ups, the two decided to concentrate on playing music together.

7.30pm. Tickets, £15 (£8 for under 16s) from staplefordgranary.org.uk. Stapleford Granary is in Bury Road, Stapleford CB22 5BP.
