Is this the UK’s youngest circus ringmaster?

WHEN Circus ringmaster Mike Lea lost his voice for a few days due to a heavy cold, in-keeping with tradition the show went on – thanks to eight-year-old Edward Pinder.
Edward, whose parents are also the circus clowns, watches the show and knows all the words and in a moment of need he took the microphone and kept the show going.
Now he could be Britain’s youngest ringmaster as he carries on enjoying his role on a part-time basis in-between his school studies.
Mr Lea said: “He made such a good job of it his mother has made him his own ringmasters outfit and after his school work he is allowed to act as ringmaster. He is a cute looking circus boy who all the mums and children like and he will be appearing when the circus hits Saffron Walden later this week.”
Pinders Circus is a all human production and runs from April 7 to Sunday 10, show times vary across the four-day stretch so call 07578 083 755 for details or visit pinderscircus.co.uk
Mr Lea added: “The circus has been going since 1824 but has only just come back after a 15-year break. We offer a huge discount for army serviceman as we are affiliated to the Help for Heroes charity campaign.”
The circus will have acts from places like Hungary and the Ukraine, including juggling, plate spinning, sword and dagger balancing, magic and illusions, a clown’s comedy car and plenty of slapstick fun.
