SAFFRON Players are making preparations for their next production - Jack & the Beanstalk.

Following the popular and successful sell out run of Treasure Island in January and the hilarious production of Noises Off in June, Players are ready to begin rehearsals for their next pantomime.

Jack & The Beanstalk will be performed in the Town Hall in January 2011 and the first reading of the script is on Tuesday September 14 at 7.45pm in the Town Hall Court Room.

Written and directed by Ellie and Ian Walton it’s the traditional story complete with a cow, magic beans and a giant.

A spokesman said: “Saffron Players always welcome new members and if you are over 18 and would like to come to the reading we would be pleased to see you.

“We also have a good backstage crew who also like new recruits. Rehearsals are every Tuesday evening and some Sunday afternoons, and dress rehearsals and performances are from January.”
